On Saturday, September 30, 9:00 to 11:30, Trout Lake Nature Center (TLNC) will participate in National Public Lands Day (NPLD) with repair to boardwalk and trails and an invasive plant removal. Volunteers are needed to help with repairing TLNC’s trails and boardwalk from damage caused Hurricane Irma.

NPLD is an annual day of caring for public lands and largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. This event will provide an opportunity to help local public lands recover from Irma and prepare for the upcoming visitor and school field trip season.

If you need to do community service or just want to help, join us for this worthwhile activity. You can help make a difference. Dress to work outdoors, long pants are recommended along work gloves, sun screen and bug spray. TLNC is located at 520 E. CR 44, Eustis, FL. Call 352-357-7536 or email tlnc.director@gmail.com to sign up for this volunteer effort.
