TLNC Nature Sprouts Program
Our Nature Sprouts program is a FREE, fun and active program created for children and their favorite adult. It is held on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 10 to 11 AM. The program is designed to provide 2-5 year olds with a positive nature experience.
We work to educate young people to love and care for nature.
Our hope is that they will carry the connections with nature into adulthood. The children respond with wide-eyed awe, as we introduce them to the creatures that make their home at Trout Lake Nature Center.
The Charles Newell Hall contains a reading and learning center, areas for experimentation and
displays of various animals, birds and reptiles. We utilize this building as part of our Nature Sprouts program.
What you need to know:
Your child should come dressed in play clothes and plan on getting dirty, as we spend time outside. They should wear closed-toed shoes and a hat. Bug spray and sunscreen are often important when we go outside and explore our nature trails.
