It is through your donations that TLNC succeeds in our mission to educate the public on the importance of conservation and preservation.
Acre by Acre Program
Capital Building Fund
Our Capital Building Campaign was officially kicked off at TLNC’s Annual Meeting in January 2017, with an initial goal of $1,250,000. The purpose is to provide a new museum, classroom space, small meeting room and offices. At the same time a better traffic pattern will be established with parking removed from the center of the campus allowing space for outdoor classes and events. To donate to the Capital Building Campaign please print a form and follow the instructions. Learn More
These donations can be made at any time as a way to recognize someone who may have been associated with TLNC or the environment. This type of donation can be unrestricted by the donor or designated for a project. Please contact TLNC office if you want to create a memorial for a loved one at TLNC.
Bequests can be made as part of a person’s estate plan. This can be complex and usually involves the input of a person’s attorney and/or financial advisor. The bequest can be made directly to Trout Lake Nature Center upon the donor’s passing or it can be held in a trust for the benefit of TLNC
This fund was established by the Board of Directors several years ago when someone left a bequest to TLNC. Since that initial bequest had no restrictions. other donations were added to this same fund. While the fund grew in value, the Board decided not to make withdrawals for the time being. This fund is an excellent way to make a lasting contribution for the benefit of TLNC without establishing an individual trust.
Keep in mind that a donation to the Trout Lake Nature Center can be made by check or by donating securities that have appreciated in value.
You are encouraged to contact our Treasurer regarding any of these donor opportunities.
